La Luxes Script • A clean, elegant hand-drawn script font containing upper & lowercase characters, all punctuation and numerals. Also contains 30 ligatures to help the text flow naturally and add a custom-made feel. 2. La Luxes Serif • A stylish & modern all-caps serif containing uppercase characters, all punctuation & numerals. Also contains 20 ligatures and 11 special characters giving you a variety of layout options. Using Ligatures and Special Characters; Both fonts contain a large range of ligatures (unique double-letter pairings) to provide you with more customisation options; Most programs will automatically have Standard Ligatures switched on for you, if not you will need to enable this OpenType feature. The Serif font contains a number of raised ‘small caps’ (A, E, O, U, C) and characters with elongated tails (L, K, R,). These can be accessed by switching on ‘Stylistic Alternates’ in any OpenType capable software and typing these characters. The star icon can be accessed simply by typing the asterisk key (*) with the Serif font. All Ligatures and Special Characters can also be accessed via a Glyphs panel. This is available on most Adobe software & Affinity Designer. The stylised vertical ‘AND’ and ‘CO’ icons can only be accessed this way. Sassafrassy™ is a fun hand-calligraphy font family that includes 2 font styles (Simple & Swash), Map Things & a Pattern set to help you create beautiful custom designs. Written using a flexible steel nib & ink on paper. The Simple version includes an extensive character set designed for ease of use. The Swash version has all of the swash characters and gives the font a different stylistic feel. The Pro version contains all characters from both of these two fonts, over 1000 glyphs in total. Also included in this family is a fun “Map Things” set so you can create your own hand-drawn maps & a Free Pattern Set (some of which were used to create the above banners). Jaqen is a contemporary serif with a distinct aesthetic. Learning from historical methods of practice in metal types the design has been developed to improve reading text in modern applications. Initially drafted by hand to help promote a more natural letter shape, the typeface is then digitally produced adding a more angular expression with wedge-shaped forms, open apertures and subtle diagonal stress. The result is a well-balanced serif type family with the right rhythm, harmony and calm personality for creating readable text in the digital era. Introducing Meritocracy, a full-featured handwritten font with tons of alternate characters and OpenType features. My goal with this font was to make you a typeface that will look as much like hand lettering as possible. Using the built-in OpenType pseudo-random contextual alternates and over 300 individually drawn ligatures, you can infuse your typography with personality and variety.** OpenType Features Meritocracy comes with more than 900 glyphs! Specific OpenType features include contextual alternates, stylistic alternates, a second stylistic set for variety, multiple alternate glyphs for many letters (accessed through the glyphs panel), multilingual support (including multiple currency symbols), standard numbers, and seven ampersand styles. It also includes 325+ standard and discretionary ligatures, all of them individually hand-drawn to be different from all other glyphs in the font. These ligatures allow you to give a super-realistic hand-lettered look to your typography. You can write the same word in so many different ways if you combine the default set, stylistic set 01, and standard and discretionary ligatures in different ways. SPECIAL OPENTYPE FEATURE: If you are using OpenType-capable software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or CorelDraw and you have contextual alternates turned on, you can see the letters randomize themselves as you type, mixing from the default character set and stylistic set 01. (You can always turn on contextual alternates after you have already typed your passage and it will randomize all at once, or you can choose to turn off contextual alternates and substitute specific glyphs yourself - I find that if I'm typing a word or two, I prefer to control the individual glyphs myself; if I'm typing a paragraph, I like to use the built-in randomness of the contextual alternates feature). Note that this pseudo-randomization (aka contextual alternate feature) is ON by default in Apple's Pages app and OFF by default in Microsoft Word, but it can be turned on. The OpenType features can be very easily accessed by using OpenType-savvy programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. We are very happy to announce the release of our first collaboration with master calligrapher, designer and illustrator Gabriel Martínez Meave from México. The first in the series of new designs is Wordless Script, an emotional calligraphic typeface published by Sudtipos. Speechless. Breathless. Wordless. There are letters that transcend simple functionality and sheer legibility, to be recognized instead by their style, their charm, their emotion. It’s like when we don’t remember the exact sentences, but we recall the tone of the voice of a loved one: it just doesn’t matter WHAT he or she said, but HOW he or she said it. Wordless Script is the font of choice for writing those things that go beyond words. Based on the connected-scripts of late 18th-century England, this typeface preserves the irregular finish and gestural strokes of the pointed nib. It is, so to speak, a personal rendition of the English roundhand as originally executed with the bird’s quill. Imbued with a Rococo, neoclassical, romantic spirit, Wordless radiates the gallantry of a time when the celebrated «douceur de vivre» that Talleyrand was so fond of was still alive and well; echoes of which still haunt us in our eclectic 21st-century, which has once again come to appreciate these magnificent styles of old.
